I've been patiently waiting every friday to try and buy a blok chef knife, but internet speed/getting to the computer too late means i've missed out.

Does anyone on here own one and if so, is it worth the premium over a robert welch equivalent?

Afraid I know nothing other than they are lovely. The carbon handled ones particulary, £650 is a bit steep though.

I've got one. An 8" chef's knife.

It's a nice knife, but you need to consider that it's carbon steel, and therefore if you don't wash and dry it properly, it will rust. Being carbon steel, it holds a good edge better than stainless.

However, I don't know if I rate it more than say this one, which I have too:

But it's hand made!

I also tried week, after week to secure a blok knife...in the end i went for a Ferraby one:

But he's now moved to the same weekly selling cycle as Blok...so good luck!
