New bottle of Lagavulin required

I normally buy the 16. I've seen the 12. Which would you recommend?

Personally I'd go for the 16, but if that's your usual then it might be worth getting a 12 if for no better reason than comparison.

12 is less peaty and phenolic. You choose. I like some Islay whiskies, not Laphroaig though. Lagavulin is about as far as I want to go with the phenol. YMMV. Like choosing Jura Origin vs. Ssuperstition.

There are some very nice drams out there but this is one of the best !!
