Good pub/restaurant recommendations - in/around Lee Valley

Hi all, looking for some recommendations for a good country pub in/around Lee Valley Park (Essex/Herts borders) for a meet up with an old school friend and his family (with children aged 10-14). Dog friendly would also be a bonus!

We're after great service, top-notch food and a comfortable atmosphere.
