It's been that price for ages. They tend to do Hobgoblin, Spitfire and Bishops Finger for £1.25 to compete with Aldi who also do them at this price point.
They also sell Bank's at 90p a bottle.

Aldi's cheap beer range is a little wider, in addition to the above, they do Hobgoblin Gold, a couple of Badger ales, Marston's IPA and Pedigree (I think), plus a range of beers at £1.19 which are brewed exclusively for them - of these, I like Wild Bill's IPA, they do a couple of other decent ones too (one called Medusa is OK).
