I have a craving for those cheese type 'pockets', you get with a beer etc. Like a thin layer of crisp with a pocket of air in them, usually cheese flavoured.

I've tried Waitrose and Sainsburys to no avail, then I've looked through 30 pages of crisps on the tesco site.

Is it more of a Lidl *shudder* type thing? Aldi?

Thank you for enquiring Mr Luxury-Yacht. Unfortunately, after a trip to Aldi, Lidl, Tescos, Saisnburys and Coop, I was unable to find what I was looking for (I'd covered Waitrose and M&S previously). Thank god for the Oxford ring road!

The best I could do was these, whilst I am encouraged by the naughty red bits at the bottom right, I am in no way satisfied. I implore you to assist in my mission to find crunchy cheesy goodness, keep your eyes peeled.

I'd like to note, that my 10,500 post was a incorrectly orientated photo of an Aldi sign...

Would it have been quicker to do Co-Op after Lidl?

The bar is in Belguim, so it'd probably not help anyway!

I'm not after those ones specifically, but that kind of 'crisp'. A puff of air in a thin crisp layer.

Thanks Du1point8, ordered. I have been a good boy after all wink

Coop was an after thought as I drove past it, I also wouldn't recommend driving through Oxford at 7:30pm on a Friday night!

As I understand it, the air is actually crisp flavour, it's the shell that is cheese flavour. Strange I know.

Mr Monkey,
Is this snack product the item in question, in flavour if not exact shape?

If the answer is "yes", then it appears their availability is geographically restricted to Netherlands and the aforementioned Belgium

Lays is Walkers, I learnt last week, so if it is that flavour then all is not lost.

Mr jsc15, Whilst the crisps you've posted look like a fine example of potatoey goodness, they are unfortunately not what I had in mind.

I've had discussions at family HQ, and I think we've agreed it's not really a cheese flavour at all, it's just salty crisp flvour. Other monkeys remember them from holidays in France, which may narrow my search and only a short run, if found, for a 'crisp cruise'. Does anyone know the limit for bringing crisps back to the UK? I imagine something like 50kg before border control get concerned over distribution.

Sort of... Frito-Lay and Walkers are both owned by PepsiCo.

One you could try are Goldfish - seen in world food isles for a ridiculous price - sourced from America, will have the light airyness but are usually cheese flavoured

41 miles for crisps, st the bed.

You could of course accept the inevitable, that chilli heatwave doritos are by far the best and available in most stores, and for the price of fuel wasted you could have already munched your way through numerous share bags.

Chaps, I admire your dedication to the cause. Alas, I am still without my fking crisps. Every shop I visit, I check to no avail. Am dissapoint.

Mr J8 SVG, I am stateside later in the year and will try to get some on my travels. Again, what is the import limit for crisps? I imagine I can get a suitcase full without breaching the import limit.

Mr dazwalsh, it was 41 minutes, 16 miles. But I suppose your point is still valid. I was bored with nothing better to do.
