Help! Where can I buy a cheese knife?

I know this is a bit dull, but my old cheese knife broke. No problem, pop into town, buy a new one. No one had one.

Okay so, Amazon. Looked at some, read the reviews, picked a Sabatier (which I thought was a reasonable make). It arrived two days later and it's rubbish, just crumbles the cheese when trying to slice.

Next stop, head for the nearest city, specifically John Lewis. Can't go wrong with John Lewis, right? Wrong - they do do one, but it's out of stock. Tried a few other shops, no joy.

So where have all the cheese knives gone? And how do I buy one?

This is the late lamented cheese knife, I just want another one like this.

I have a Global cheese knife. It came from Lakeland. Wasnt cheap but it is very good. No crumbling of cheese. We use it almost every day.

I feel your pain. I moved house recently and have no bloody cheese knife. How am I supposed to have cheese and crackers with no cheese knife (and dont get me started on the injustice of the fact that a wheel of cheese never finishes at the same time as a box of crackers).

Have you looked at Ikea?

Ikea wont be the best, but usually its good enough and at a reasonable price.

Homesense would be my suggestion for knives, they have a a great range at decent prices.

Just when you think pistonheads couldn't get any stranger, a thread like this pops up. Now I admit I don't cut that much cheese, but if I did I certainly wouldn't pay £90 for one!
