So something a little lighthearted for food & drink...

Has anyone tried one of these 'Grand Macs'?

Off to McD's with the girlfriend and her kids this evening and todays' big question is do I try one of these???

Or do I stick with my usually dirty secret - the double cheeseburger and save the calories for something proper to eat later?

Any help and advice greatly appreciated :-)

It's just a slightly larger diameter standard BigMac.

I was hoping it would at least be made with a big version of their premium burger.

Yep. Exactly the same as a regular big mac but a bit bigger.

I'm a fan as it's more filling. A large "normal" big mac meal feels a little short of a full meal and leaves me wanting more afterwords. Not that I have Mcdonald's very often, but the Big Mac is my "go to" meal.

The grand big Mac is a limited time too, ends mid March.

As with the rest of their burgers that they tout as "big", "large" etc it's not that big at all. A big mac with larger diameter

The Big Tasty is the biggest I recall them selling and I could easily polish off 3 or 4 of them

Wishing they would make a truly hearty burger

Had 2, one was thrown together and fell out the box as I lifted it out the paper bag, was average. 2nd was bought at a different restaurant and had been made properly, I was hungover and it was bloody awesome.

Due to the increased size they seem to have much more sauce than a standard Mac.

Feels like the only thing that's grown is the amount of bread, the actual burgers are still as thin as single ply arse wipe.

we seem to be one of the few countries who dont get really weird and wonderful mcd's creations. look at burger lad twitter for example...even the rest of europe gets interesting combos.

I prefer their Signature burgers. A decent thickness of patty and real cheese

Wasn't impressed, didn't help that it was lukewarm, perhaps due to too much bread.

Big Tasty is still the best from McDicks.

I thought it was quite big, to be honest! I’ve had two now and couldn’t eat another burger as a chaser, such as the excellent combo of regular Big Mac followed by a Mayo Chicken.

No way could I eat 3 or 4 Big Tasty burgers; I’d die. rofl

I had one. I thought it was ok but haven't felt the need to have another.

I don't remember there being anything as like so much sauce when they did the bigger Big Mac for the 2006 World Cup?

“Restaurant” rofl

In fairness I like the odd Mac but having tried some of their specials I now stick to two regular (small) cheeseburgers and definitely no fries or drinks.
