Oven cook them - best way imo.
Me too, works with all kind of 'fry up' food. I regularly have to do a big breakfast for up to 20 people. I used to juggle with multiple frying pans and grill then keeping it all warm in the oven till I realized you can bung it all uncooked into the oven and come back in 15-20 minutes to a fully 'fried' breakfast. (eggs not included)

Having a "fry-up"? I oven cook the sausages, grill the bacon, and the only things that go in the frying pan are mushrooms and eggs. It's got nothing to do with 'being healthier' either. I just think it tastes better and is more convenient/less messy.

An hour? Are you MAD?!
This is my preferred method too. Put them on the lowest heat possible and enjoy a few coffees whilst reading the paper (or browsing the web). It is by far the best way to cook them. A great way to relax in to the weekend.Oven cooking is good but very different to the above. The above is the way to get succulent, well cooked sausage with sticky outer.

I do mine slowly on the hob, I have cooked them in the oven but it's harder to keep an eye on them. It doesn't take an hour, usually about 25 mins. I put them in the heaviest frying pan I've got, and put a lid on it so the heat is retained and they cook through without burning.Oven cooking is good but very different to the above. I usually turn the sausages about 3 times, and they come out nicely browned, and still juicy on the inside.
