This'll be my first attempt at mixing bread dough with other stuff nuts

500g strong flour
75g caster sugar
300ml warm milk with 50g butter melted into it
1 beaten egg
7g instant yeast
1 tsp salt

10 minutes blitzed with the dough hook now in the oven for first proof................

In with the cinnamon and mixed fruit, knock out the air and back in the oven for second rise....

Disaster strikes - mixed 75g of plain flour with water to make a paste for the crosses...can’t find the correct size icing bag nozzlebanghead

Don’t think this is gonna work but hey ho .....

I have just arrived back from a business trip to NL and for lunch we were offered cheese rolls, ham rolls, soup, croquets and hot cross buns filled with gouda cheese. Hot cross buns with cheese were lovely biggrin

Armed with a homemade parchment piping bag.....



This time topped with hot Golden Syrup....



Happy Easter all beer
