Where to eat in Turin...?
Discussion
It's a few years since I last went but I used to go on trips to Turin regularly with a friend who did business with a pen company there.
The owner of the company always took us out to dinner and one I remember well is Al Gatto Nero, (The Black Cat), one of the best restaurants that we went to there but you'd never know from the outside as the entrance is just a door with a drawing of a cat on it.
It comes up on tripadvisor and seems well thought of but I can't give you any idea of where it is or of it's prices but I'm sure it's in expense account territory as my father in law was also taken there once by a large Italian company he was doing some work for and he was really impressed.
There was another one we liked which was a little trattoria somewhere in the suburbs, it was full of fine art and served a set menu with most dishes containing mushrooms or truffle, amazing food and surroundings and again probably very expensive. I can't remember the name at the moment but am doing research and will post the info if I can find it.

Next to Lingotto (famous roof-top testtrack) there's an Eataly.

Amazing supermarket which serves food as well. Must-see IMHO.

Gorgeous place. Some fab museums including the Egyptian Museum and the Museum of Oriental Art. Beautiful architecture and some excellent nightlife. We ate at Kipling Restaurant and Wines, and as the weather was perfect, we sat outside in a stunning square. The food was superb (and catered extremely well for various dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian, but everywhere we went in Italy was like that). In fact we ended up at Kipling both nights as the other restaurant we'd planned to visit was closed for the summer. Didn't regret a second visit, as it was exquisite both times.
