I've never really eaten a lot of pizza. But on the occasions I've had one in the past, I'm sure they had lots of cheese.

These days, they seem to have everything but cheese. If it's a takeaway, it seems you have to order 'extra cheese' (WTF?) or for shop bought pizzas you need to make sure you have some cheese in the fridge to add (which I never do).

Where do you get a decent pizza that will clog my arteries properly? Takeaway recommendations or shops are both fine.

Look up your local wood fired oven takeaway, or a proper italian restaurant that does pizza's.

Try to get past the 'clog the arteries' mentality of indian takeaway pizzas/frozen junk food, once you have got used to proper pizza you won't go back to the artificial stuff. Goats Cheese, Buffalo Mozzarella etc is where its at cloud9

You haven't said where you live though? Central london has loads of chains, well known ones being FRATELLI LA BUFALA, Franca Manca, Pizza Pilgrims and so on and then all the independents.

Stronger strain than usual giving you bad munchies, OP? wink

Edited to add: one of my local pizza emporia, Charlie's Coffee Company, does an outstanding blue cheese pizza. But you are in Surrey, so it would be a little rubbery and unappetising by the time it reached you.

Surrey does offer the Doughshack vans though, with the frankly excellent option of nduja, blue cheese and rocket.

Making your own Mozzarella is quite easy, very satisfying, messy and hot. It takes about 120 mins.

http://www.cheesemaking.com/howtomakemozzarellache... for instance

You can gorge on it and clog up the arteries as much as you like.

I believe cheddar and similar are also easy to do, perhaps not quite so quick.

The best 'shop bought, (and cheapest I think) is Morrison's own. Nice thin base but I usually sprinkle some extra toppings on.

Embarrassingly better than my homemade base.

These articles almost ruined my day, but thankfully I eat only my homemade pizza which means I can afford extra cheese every time. Well, the cheese doesn't always look stretchy as seen in commercials but at least I know that's a real one. By the way, how do you make it? With pizza oven like this or simple kitchen stove? My stove always makes the crust hard unless it's no yeast pizza dough.

How hard can it be to stock up on packs of mozzarella?
Drain them off and wrap them in cling film and freeze. Defrost the day before and job jobbed.

I prefer pizza with little or no cheese.

Avoid the fast food chains they are st. Find a proper Italian.

Having said that the Pizza Express ones from the supermarkets are quite good
