depends how many of you there are. We have a large oval one, but since there are only two of us we end up freezing what's left. this isnt an issue if you like eating lots of the same stuff - I do :-)

We have two, one is small enough (3.5L) for just the two of us and the other one (6.6L) for when the family come around for dinner - the neat thing is we also have a divided bowl for the large one which comes in handy for curry, chilli and similar as i can have a silly hot one cooking on one side whilst the mrs has a milder one going on the other.

Thanks for the replies, it will be cooking just for me so looks like a 3.5L one will suffice, Argos/Tesco and the like have them for £20ish so not expensive.

Highly unlikely that will happen, lots of pork and beef will be cooked! smile

Our local Aldi had them on sale for £5 in the reduced price section - chek out your local Aldi to see if they have them as well.

Just thought I would give a little update,
Not used the sc a lot as it is just me but have so far cooked..
Pulled Pork (need to experiment a little more)
Ribs- done these twice now and 2nd time they were lovely (1st time over cooked)
BBQ Chicken drumsticks - fantastic! the meat just falls off the bones

Will definately use it more once I go back to work but a very worthwhile small investment smile
