Did a quick search, most recent thread I found was 2016 so worth asking again.

OH tells me our 15yr old copper bottomed SS saucepans are getting to the end of their working life and has asked me to research some decent replacements.

We have a couple of Le C non stick frying pans which we're quite impressed with so thinking Le C SS pans - any better options for a gas hob?

This. Had ours for at least 15 years now, we got them cheap at the outlet.

Stellar, 16 years old still as good as new and less than half the price of Le C

Just looked at the price of Le Creuset - about treble what we paid 15 years ago!

Ditto they look good and work really well.
Love the fact you can simply put them into the oven if you wish

Not cheap but 3ply roasting tin sauté and then all the dais pans and steamer get them bought the Mrs will love them and they are lifetime guarantee.

We have had some of ours (Stellar 1000 range) for over 30 years now. Apart from the inevitable minor scratches and dents, they are still going strong.

WMF Function 3. We're only about 4 years in with them but they are simply stunning and still look brand new. Might need to buy on German Amazon/eBay now as I'm not sure if they have a UK distributer these days.

Really cannot comment, I'm still on the same stainless pans we had as a wedding present, 26 years ago!!

However, anyone identify or comment on the pans James Martin uses in his recent progs? I did find them on amazon, very nice but very expensive!

You can buy direct from WMF with free shipping over 30EUR IIRC.
