Indian restaurant in Manchester?
Discussion
Eastzeast and Akbars are popular in the city centre, both are chains and of course you have the curry mile. Plenty to chose from in the centre. Essence is in Altrincham if you need something in that part Manchester.
Not sure I would fancy a curry in this weather though, it's roasting in Manchester today!

Ahkbars is good, I've been a couple of times.
Zouk has very good reviews too. A colleague went a couple of weeks ago and was raving about it: http://zoukteabar.co.uk/menus/manchester/

I wouldn't go to any Indian restaurant these days in Manchester all the ones ive been too in recent years have gone significantly down hill. Even the takeaways have low hygiene standards and food quality, in my experience.
Far better to find a decent recipe and cook it yourself.
If you want to eat out, head to Trafford centre, funnily enough, no Indian restaurants in the Trafford centre. But you'll get an amazing Asian curry

Akbars is my go to Indian when working in the city centre, it is always packed with people queueing for tables whilst other close by restaurants are normally over half empty. Chatting to people whilst having a drink waiting can be half the experience of a visit, it caters for all sorts from students, through business people to TV celebrities etc.
Chains can be good, this one proves that point.

I see mcr has an ashas now. If its as good as the dubai one i would go there. Also bundobust is top (and great beer) but is more street food oriented.
