I drove past their (I think) first UK outlet, there were hundreds queuing for whatvsounds like a horrid meal.

Is it hype or will it sweep the nation?

It's huge in phillipines. There's a large filipino community in london, so it's no suprise that they would want to flock to a popular eatery that's from their country and give them that extra taste of home.. I don't think there are many filipino restaurants around as many people cook it at home.

The menu is the same as their filipino roots. that's why 99.9% of the people you see lining up to see it are filipino. it's not about quality british organic local ingredients. it's food from a developing country. the hype will be lost with many british people.
