Afternoon All,

We are off to Liverpool this weekend, and we need some ideas of where to eat and where to drink this weekend?

Cains Brewery Village is a mix of street food, bars (including the brewery tap) and oddball shops

Bold Street has almost every cuisine under the sun from independent restaurants. Had lunch at the Italian Club recently which was good.

Worth a pint in the Philharmonic Dining Rooms.

Amazing old pub with a great history. I don't know how the food is in there, but it's definitely worth a quick drink.

The art school is very nice but you'll have to book , they do a very good lunch special for about £30 and there's a great cocktail bar downstairs . Philharmonic is ok for a drink but it's more for looking at the architecture , make sure to check out the "world famous toilets " , you'll find them by following your nose ! The original grapes pub is in the same area and worth a couple of pints . Hanover street social is always good honest food at a decent price . San Carlo for Italian , moglai is great for an alternative take on Indian , it's street food - tapas style , Shiraz for Turkish BBQ , it looks like a cafe but the food is great .
There's any number of chain pubs and restaurants but rigbys is a good traditional boozer , as are most of them on the same street .
Sorry there's no street names , I just know my way around by pubs !

When I go and watch LFC I always stay at Malmaison. Nice place for cocktails.

This. Lark Lane is quite a bit of a venture though.

San Carlo is a good spot for food, or a drink or two trying to spot footballers.

Only problem is the staff are so used to waiting on the supposedly famous they think they are famous themselves , we stopped eating in there due to big time Charlie's talking loudly and arsey waiters . The food is good though
