Just been offered a sampler as I was walking around Sainsburys and curiosity got the better of me.
Back at the office and my mouth tastes of ass.
Does anyone actually like this stuff??

Surely all beef is vegan isn't it? They eat grass.

I have no problem with Vegans and their beliefs etc.

What I do have a problem with, is that everything that is made "Vegan", such as the beef in question, contradicts everything they stand for.

Why make vegan food into meat products, surely thats the point of veganism, not to be eating any thing related to meat?

It doesn't happen the other way round either. They don't make "Carnivore Bananas" do they, a battered sausage fried in dripping made to look like a banana?

I really don't get it.

Well next time the boss asks you to rim them, decline politely.

It doesn’t though does it. Yes there are people that are vegetarian and vegan for animal rights purposes and are fanatical about it but in reality that’s only a small proportion of them. People are also vegetarian and vegan because for health reason they can’t eat meat and a whole host of other reasons which is nothing to do with being a raving loon about killing animals.

I'm not so sure about people actually liking it but probably more just eating it because its the option available to them.

I made vegan "turkey" at Christmas and I and a few other dedicated carnivores agreed it was edible. The vegans all raved about it.

However, vegan pepperoni on a pizza really works because its all about the spice and a tough crispy texture hides what its made of.

I don't get it, if you want to be vegetarian that's great but why hijack something (vegan) that has a fairly robust definition laid out by the very people who coined the term to begin with and then denigrate them as the loons?

People should be allowed to eat what they like. Calling it "meat" is false advertising though. Haven't they had to rename that "Oat Milk" ?
