I buy from Smokey Barn and have done for some years. A small, independent roaster selling really top (and varied) coffees.

Hasbean are decent, we are on the 'secret stash subscription' and get some good/unusual beans once a month. Regular supply is mancoco in Manchester, not sure if they deliver. Mancoco coffee is the best I have had (to date).

Well, I just like excellent consistent coffee and at the risk of the opprobrium of the coffee snobs, this goes into my bean to cup machine and has been doing so for over 2 years now:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LavAzza-Super-Crema-Cof...

It's cheap and has everything you could wish for in an excellent coffee, except for a snobby artisan image and price!

I use :

https://www.hasbean.co.uk

and also https://www.redber.co.uk although I've only used RedBer for green beans.

HappyDonkey is pretty decent, especially for larger quantities, but I prefer the quality from Hasbean

We also use Hasbean and Redbur, both pretty good I quite like Hasbean's subscription model, I used to do that for a a bag a month and meant I tried several different coffees.
I think Smokey Barn is owned by a PHer.

Reinvigorating this thread - due to the current lockdown, I'm going through beans like nobody's business. Does anyone have any current recommendations. Amazon would be ideal. I'd rather not use a subscription service, so places that offer one off purchases would be perfect.

Many thanks

Seeing as I can't pick my beans up on the way into work I ordered online.

https://mancoco.co.uk/

As you say, going through them rapidly. 1kg nearly gone in a fortnight.

Very nice, is it the Manchester blend you go for. I just have mine black, so reckon it would be that or the Espresso blend for me.

Espresso, it's their staple that they serve in there too.

Think the guy who owns this was on Pistonheads when he started off. Was practicing roasting and posting out free packets of beans which were very good. Hope he's doing well.

Just ordered the Brazilian blend. Sadly the Algerian on Old Compton St is closed for lockdown (tiny premises)
