KFC chips are horrible again.
Discussion
They used to be proper fries, now they're (trying to be) chip shop chips... but failing abysmally, just a pack of soggy lukewarm chopped potatoes.
If I want proper chips then I'll go to the local fish & chip shop. Annoyingly since KFC have changed it means we now have no-where local to get proper fries...

i maintain that their original chunky chips were the best, they never needed changing. i dunno why they keep changing.
My gripe is tha packaging they use now. so much of the stuff and it's a pain in the *** if you forget to tell them you wanted to eat in (or they didn't ask). so you end up eating a box meal that has tons of packaging going to waste.

I don't mind the chips, they were a bit soft and soggy but are a little better now, slightly crispy.
However this is the pathetic portion i had the other day. If i opened it and found this whilst still there i would have kicked off, but sadly i was home. How tight, it would have cost KFC about 2p more to fill this bag properly.

I watched the bloke who developed them test them on TV recently. Something like food unwrapped. They were specifically developed to stay warmer and crispier for longer than the previous types, and in the small sample I saw they were.
The issue KFC face is people are more likely to take it home to eat with family etc than say Macdonald's. It means they're fighting a losing battle as fries just can't stay crispy for that long. I never bother with them. When I've got a bucket of chicken to myself, why bother with fries...?
