Oxford restaurant recommendations
Discussion
Hi all
I’m heading to Oxford for this weekend and wondered if anyone could recommend decent mid price places to eat (lunch and dinner).
As it stands I think we might go to Al-Andulas for a tapas lunch, Quod in the evening and Pierre Victoire for dinner on the second night. We have tried these before however, so I thought I would ask in here to get some other options as we like a change of scenery.
Thanks

Some great places on the Cowley Road now. Oli's Thai (though unlikely you will get a table), Arbequina (Spanish), Antep Kitchen (turkish) are always good.
Pompette in Summertown (French), Chester Arms on Chester St (Steak).
If the sun's out the Cherwell Boathouse is great.
Lower end - Big Society (Hangover Cure), Atomic Burger & Pizza.
Oxford has a great food scene.

Gee's has been very poor the last few times i've been. Pompette is a 5min walk away and much better.
Disclaimer - haven't been for 6 months and never been to the old parsonage.
I looked Gees up and it is part of the same chain as Quod, forgot about that. Jeremy Mogford (who started Browns and sold it to Fullers I think). I worked at the Parsonage in 1997 so standards might have drifted since I left (more likely I’d have thought improved!). Disclaimer - haven't been for 6 months and never been to the old parsonage.
