Today I just accepted a job which is 12 hours a day, then 45 minutes each way commute. Not sure how clever that was of me but the money is good so I shall go with it for now.
Just trying to think what I should do for all my meals. Going to need breakfast (easy enough) lunch, and tea before I get home for dinner. I want to maintain a healthy diet, but am struggling to think of a plan for it. Am thinking fruit, some meat, some carbs. Can anyone help?
Anyone else done similar and built a diet?

Please be careful. A couple of years ago I was working on a job which involved a five hour commute plus eight hours on site. I fell asleep at the wheel and was lucky to be alive.
As for food, I used to have porridge,in one of those little pots that you add water to. A salad or sandwich for lunch. I am afraid I ate a lot of rubbishy fast food especially on cold days.

Thankyou. Yes I shall be careful. When I was doing this job when I was younger (plant operator) I was less careful about sleep and fell asleep at the wheel of a 70 ton machine. Thankfully I only ran into an earth bund but it shook me up.

I think brekky is the easy meal, porridge is good, but sarnies for lunch get boring fast. I can't eat fast food because a) i want to look after myself a bit and b) tummy does not like it.

Things like bento boxes as meme as they are, they seem to have the right idea. Those things they have in India look perfect, but not practical for me.

Try not to have the same thing on repeat as it soon gets boring. Breakfast- porridge or weetabix with some fruit. Lunch- rice packet and chicken or couscous and tuna. Fairly filling so shouldn’t need to snack too much. Also cheaper than a meal deal.
