Hi all
Decided to treat myself to one of those "Perfect Draft" systems
Interesting choice of beers but i was really wanting to try Lowenbrau, used to drink it 10 (?) Years ago and really enjoyed it, hoping this will be the same...
No longer available in draft form anywhere in Cornwall that i know of
Beer Hawk seem to be a professional bunch and easy to deal with, the unit is easy to set up and quiet in running
So, got 2 lowenbrau, becks, leffe and an odd ball at 8.4%...... wont be drinking that in pints!
Be interested in other PH feedback?
I will report in over the next few days how it works and how good it is

Hope it’s the proper lowenbrau, I was in Lidl at the weekend and it’s been relaunched as a c.3.5% beer brewed in the U.K.!
Pretty much anything outside of craft and real ale is just locally brewed pish these days with sales driven by marketing spend. As far as I’m aware, Peroni is the only mainstream international brand that’s imported now, and the price reflects it!

Don't forget to return your empty kegs to Beerhawk to get your £5 credit on each one - it's free to post them. It takes a while for them to appear in your account though.
Yep, thanks for the reminder, brings it down to approx £2.00 per pintNot bad for specialised "craft" beer
Great toys, I had a one a few years back.
Just make sure you have enough ventilation behind and around it, ie. don't shove it up against the splashback!
The power supplies etc can overheat very easily and parts are more than a new unit.
Plus side of my experience is I discovered they can run off a car battery! Draught beer on the beach!

Might go with family rather than sneaking off to the local....

I've got both
Perfect Draft & The "Sub"
Have had them for a couple of years. Great devices however … far too easy to come in, open the utility room door & a chilled pint is ready to pour.
I've not used them both since xmas as I've cut down my alcohol intake.
Will fire them up around xmas time again.
I buy my kegs from Beer Hawk. Defo a good bunch

Think i have already spotted that.....
Oops..
Trying the lowenbrau, its a flat..ish lager than modern ones, the new ones seem to be all gas
Cannot remember if thats the way they used to be?
Still nice, very nice. Seems to be less chemical, had a few but no upset stomach wise
Four more kegs to go after this one
Will keep updated
Good times to come
