Really after peoples thoughts, had a delivery this afternoon and I end up on my hands and knees picking things out of the delivery box on my doorstep!

How do other people deal with this?

Please move if in the wrong section.

ocado deliver in bags and then take them back next shop. The boxes used are pretty dirty so not a fan of taking straight out.

We always used to order the bags, but now Tesco have banned them.

Just have to get the guy to come into the kitchen and empty the boxes there. Not ideal, but still better than spending an hour at the Supermarket!

Put the box on a table?
Not a huge amount of room to take in the big delivery boxes they use, I'm not a powerfully built company director with mansion to match.

You end up taking everything out and putting it on the floor before packing it away. Considering it is getting colder I don't really fancy leaving the front door open to let all the heat disappear.

I shut the door behind the delivery guy this morning when he came into the house - bloody freezing!

I've never had an online delivery.

My partner ordered click and collect once. What a waste of time! Sat in a queue of only about two cars for nearly twenty minutes. Then when it was my turn someone awkwardly held a box near my boot whilst I put everything in loose.

Keep a few big Bags for Life and empty the stuff from the boxes into them by the front door - then carry through at your leisure. Bit of an arse but it works for us.

On the flip side, we've not done a food shop in store for probably seven years now. It's made that bit of life very easy.

Take boxes into kitchen. Identify what is in each box. Lift fridge box near fridge on work surface, unload on work surface next to fridge. Lift tins box on work surface near tin cupboard. unload box. Repeat for each box.

Really not that difficult?

Likewise. Adds around 8 seconds per crate, on average.

We started online food shopping a few months ago and I've never selected the bag option. The driver brings it in to the kitchen (more often than not I see the van and go out to help the driver in with the second box) and we unload it onto the counter top and then put it away.

Yes, considering the lives some of us will be remembering tomorrow, this hardly counts as even an inconvenience.

OP, forgive me if I don’t care what you do........... wink

Just wait until people start injuring their backs lifting heavy boxes and getting them into the kitchen to empty, it is so easy to hurt yourself lifting things.
