Recommendations for restaurant in Santa Monica

Wife & I will be celebrating an anniversary in December while we're in California and I'd like to ask for some recommendations for a family friendly restaurant (2yr old son will be with us) in a nice setting/view etc please.
The restaurant will ideally have a great seafood or vegetarian menu as I don't think there are many places with halal options available.
