In the 80s the pretty angel who bore my children used to drink 'lemon coolers' with her glass of cider.

IIRC it was southern comfort, bitter lemon and soda water or something along those lines.
Does anyone recall such a tipple and a proper recipe? I thought a group who meet under the title of "piston heads" would be sure-fire the right guys to ask. ;-)

I just want to wallow in nostalgia this crimbo.

I'm sure I recall drinking Southern Comfort, Lime and Lemonade in the 90's. Diffords Guide, which is usually pretty good for these things draws a bit of a blank. https://www.diffordsguide.com/cocktails/search?bas...

I remember getting horrendously drunk on Southern Comfort and lemonade, aged about 15.

Not touched it since. Even the smell makes me gag.

I've made lemon coolers before but not with southern comfort.

Mines were basically martinis made into a long drink with bitter lemon.

You sure it wasn’t a Steamboat?

Thanks peeps. I'm going back over 30yrs here and it's pre-internet, so a pub-manager / bar maid may have corrupted the recipe or the name??

The steamboat sounds a very similar drink even down to it turning cloudy.
