As part of my commitment to buying whatever was left on the shelves, I got some Mr Porky Pork Scratchings.

My good they are delicious, but at the same time revolting, anyone know of somewhere you can get some less disgusting ones ?

Anyone a fan of them ? its not my normal kind of thing but I find them irresistible, especially after a drink.

I love pork scratchings

Last week we made some at home , it took a few goes to get right. However the failed attempts like crackling rather than scratching, so it wasn't a big issue.

You've missed the point of Pork Scratchings.... they are supposed to be disgusting..... preferably with hair on them.

Mr Trotters are another favourite.

Intrigued as to how they are made, plenty of time to experiment atm.

The deep fried ones were the best ... dried them out for a few hours in the oven ( very low .. mostly the heat from the oven below ) , then deep fried which made them fluffy and crispy

I was deep frying but they work just as well in the oven if you fully dehydrate the rind. I also boiled the skin first. Very light and crispy but not very "porky"

These are available from my local ASDA and are fantastic, best I've tried.

I once received a big box containing many packets of them.

A friend had done some work for the factory and was given them as a bonus. Having experienced the factory and its odours, he gave them to me.

Gratefully received.

Can't eat to many as they give me shocking heartburn but these https://www.snafflingpig.co.uk/collections/crackli... are a really nice quality with an evil chilli kick - bit pricey but they sometimes do short dated jars at a decent discount.
