Off work in a week and will be in need of a (very) healthy stock of beer/ale/lager/etc
Need a place that does a wide range as my son prefers generic lagers while I prefer ales and craft beers. Can find places that do one or the other but struggling for one that does both and can deliver in a reasonable time frame.

Old mate from uni 20 odd years back runs it. Interesting selection of beers. He'll sort you out.

You might have to go to several to get what you want....
I've just had two very rapid deliveries - one from Badger Beers (Fursty Ferret) and the other from The Hogs Back Brewery (TEA) - delicious beers. Both of these breweries delivered in super quick time too.
I had 24 bottles delivered same day from Binghams couple of weeks ago. Can't argue with that I've just had two very rapid deliveries - one from Badger Beers (Fursty Ferret) and the other from The Hogs Back Brewery (TEA) - delicious beers. Both of these breweries delivered in super quick time too.

www.beerhawk.co.uk is my go to beer store. Their range of cooking lagers is prob a bit limited though, unless you have the Perfect Draft machine, where you can get Stella / Bud / Becks etc. Great range of craft beers on the site.

My mate who is trying to cut down on his beer intake due to high blood pressure recommended them because they seem to do a good selection of non alcoholic stuff that does not taste too sweet or chemically ... often a bad trait of non alcoholic beers.Myself I just went down to Londis, it was completely empty apart from a server in a mask and got two plastic bags full of 32 units !

Hot day, fizzy cold beer, not going to be a snob on what I drink before I beat the dog and take the wife out for a walk later on her lead.
And then some late night cooking exploits for the Dinner thread ....

This home cooking during home isolation is really honing my latent skills !

Are those perfect draft machines any good?
Would recommend - I have had one for a couple of years. Not cheap to buy and you won’t be saving cash vs cans, but by the time multi buy rebates, loyalty points and keg return money is factored, prob about £1.80 per pint for standard lager (i.e Lowenbrau or Stella.) The beer is less gassy than cans / bottles and most kegs I have tried have been great for my tastes 👍 ^^Gandahar
I'm wondering the same. I'm quite classy in that I drink Stella so the range is good for me. Looking at BeerHawk and ignoring the initial outlay of the machine, Stella is working out ~£5/l whereas Tesco canned Stella is working out at ~£2/l.
Is it that good?

Love a bit of Stella myself (prefer the ‘German Stella’ Lowenbrau though!) How I work it out, Stella £32 for 6l keg, £5 is returned when you send back empty keg, £2 loyalty points for purchase, in normal (non-Covid) times you get 4 kegs for 3. = £3.12 per litre (ish.) Expensive v cans, but a lovely drop. Far too tempting to keep going of an evening though! Is it that good?

Has anyone bought gone brew yet ? The beer in a bag 6 weeks until it’s ready.
Or harder go much further and proper home brew.
I’m fairly keen to pick up on this little hobby. Interesting and it might be a good beer.
I started with the just add water kits which made an ok pint of bitter/stout. quickly moved onto all grain brewing and love it. The homebrewforum, homebrewtalk and jims beer kit all have good forums for learning basics . Can get spendy with the equipment costs but you can keep costs down if that's an issue. The beer itself is cheap to make thoughOr harder go much further and proper home brew.
