I know it against the grain but any comment of TB in the UK?

Is it even remotely like the '90's US version.

I have one within an hours drive of me and nostalgia is calling

I used to love TB in the mid 90s in the USA and was delighted to hear that they had one in Manchester, so I had to try it.

Wish I hadn’t. It was fk all like the TB I remember.

Never tried it in US, but have been to the Nottingham one a few times on break at my old work, trying to recall if I've been to the Chichester one or not, I'm not sure, I know I've been to the KFC there.

Anyway, was ok for the price, used to order a few of the saver tacos, I'm not keen on a lot of the more exotic stuff they do, 1 (or 5) plain chicken or beef taco with lettuce, cheese, and I'm content.

Worth trying, maybe not an hour drive, depends what roads are like on the route wink

It's ok, as you'd imagine fast food Mexican to be.
The meal thing they do is pretty good value

Its a bit of a reunion for a few of us who relied in TB in LA back in the 90's.

So I'm hoping it would at least resemble what we were used to.

Maybe its evolved biggrin

There is one near my office, I went once. Very poor (and I have very low standards), the local independent burrito place is much better value - a huge burrito for a Pound or two more than a TB meal deal.

I had TB in 1996 in the US and thought it was pretty awful, and that was me at 16 who thought a Big Mac was probably the greatest food about. I think it was the consistency of the meat that did it. I did try TB again when they opened in Glasgow and thought it was fairly similar to what I had back then in the US! Not good. And I was a big fan of Demolition Man so really wanted to like TB laugh

I think I preferred the US Big Macs then though, they were sometimes on offer at $1 I think, that might have had something to do with it.

It’s probably because they mess with it so much that there have been questions about whether they should be allowed to call it meat laugh

Had my first Taco Bell in LA, mid sixties. My young lady companion got me to order. I did not have a clue, she had to step in so we got something resembling a Mexican meal.

I have had Taco Bell in both Manchester and the US and they taste very similar. I would not drive a yard out of my way to eat it let alone an hour though and I am a fast food fatty.

IMHO it hasn't evolved since I had one in 2003 in the USA.
Chipotle, Tortilla and the like are streets ahead, with their fresher ingredients and better service.

Mixed results. Sounds like I might have to taste test the Plymouth one. I know its going to be cr*p but that's not the point.
