I've been trying to get sign off on a new BBQ. Today wife has cracked.

The BBQ needed to be gas and able to feed up to 6 people. In addition not rust up like a old bucket and be aesthetically pleasing.

Finally I couldn't spend more than £450......

Well I showed my wife the Everdure range specifically the smaller Force and she loved it but then thought if your spending £600 why not go all in and get the Furnace!!!

Needless to say I need to capitalise on this goodwill....

But now I'm worried. Online reviews and forums say alot of good things which is more than can be said for Webber, Outback et Al. All of which have their niggles or problems. But am I just seeing the shiny / glossy images and not thinking this through.

So is Everdure a good brand and will be a good BBQ for 5+ years?

I kinda can see this being the iPhone of the BBQ world but Tbh it's this or back to the drawing board.

Another vote for Weber. Mines at least 6 years old and a lockdown clean has it looking like new. Mines a Spirit 310. I’m not sure I’d buy something that seems more style over substance which has a celebs name on it.

My Weber Genesis in about 15 years old.
Lives outside - with a cover on - but has been faultless!
Best €450 spent ever.

....you mean "Weber" tongue out

but yes, at the OP's price point I can't see the HB BBQ's offering anything a Weber does for less or possibly better.

When you get up to the £1500 HB that does look good.

I've got one. (Unfortunately)

Bought it half price in winter sale (£350), it has been replaced twice with warranty issues (Paint mainly) and we are awaiting another replacement for more paint issues and rusting bolts.

Basically its a cheaply made bbq which looks good. Its a good size and cooks fine (not as good as a weber gas).

That said for the price we paid, its probably better than the competition but not at full price.
