Thanks, although the recipe says sugar free it uses honey, dates and desiccated coconut. I am looking for something with less sugar

Yes have tried that and a few other variations, but can't get anything to bind it all together, without using "sugar" to bind it, at room temperature.

Off piste as I don't have a recipe book...

You could try a bit of bread flour or breadcrumbs and egg to help with binding.

I make my own cereal bars.

4 eggs
1 large carrot
2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
Blend together.
Then add
200g oats
60g mixed dried fruit
40g mixed chopped nuts

Put in baking tray and 20 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees.
Slice up as desired

Mrs H makes flapjack with a dollop of black treacle.. OMFG is wonderful.
