I've had global knives for at least 20 years.
Always used a stone (not often enough) and a steel and kept them just sharp enough.
Kept meaning to get a minosharp but only just got round to it when I added to an order for some steak knives. Oh boy I wish I'd done it sooner. I've not tried it on any other knives but it makes the Globals razor sharp.

I'm not that convinced. I have a 3 wheel minosharp that I got free with a set of Globals years ago. I think I used it a couple of times, all I find is the finest wheel creates micro abrasions that give the impression of being sharp. In the same way that a serrated knife cuts bread or a tomato better than a blunt un-serrated knife.
Since then I use a sharpening jig with stones and a 2000/5000 grit whetstone followed by a strop and maintain with a diamond or ceramic steel.

I also have a 3 wheel Minosharp. Works well for me.
How do people use them?
As an example, i know my knife needs sharpening when I can no longer slice through a tomato cleanly (for example) . . .
So I put some water in to damper the wheels . . . run the blade through all 3 wheels, using only gravity, backwards & forwards, roughly 10-20 times through all 3 wheels
I am probably doing it wrong, but that works for me.
