See it less and less but I do enjoy a crisp cold Grolsch. Enjoy the even scarcer Lowenbrau.

Grolsch is also one of my preferred lagers but not so much the UK brewed stuff. Pretty sure Morrisons do the single swing-top bottles and our local non-chain off licence often has 500ml import cans.

Strange isn't it but I guess it is how the different lagers are promoted that determines their availability. Remember when Peroni was the latest and greatest thing that was being pushed with fancy pint glasses, then Moretti became available in certain places but now almost seems a default choice in place of Peroni for an Italian lager.

For me my favourite is based on the environment you're drinking it in, a hot summers bbq then something bottled like Modelo or Corona with lime but for after work drinks (remember those) would favour a pint of Moretti, Heineken, Peroni or Staropramen.

Obviously a lot of this would be determined by what the places have on tap and also ignoring how popular IPAs like Brewdog or Beavertown have become in recent years. I like these but sometimes they are too overpowering or hoppy

Best recent lager I've had was Cloudwater's Mountain Lager - difficult to get hold of though.

Best ever was the "house" lager on of tap at Golgatha Biergarten in Berlin, annoyingly can't remember the name of the brewery.

Berliner's another good one & obtainable in the UK.

Via the supermarket I'll usually get what's on offer from Estrella/Budvar etc, & Pacifico's a decent light one (better alternative to Corona/Sol IMO).

Camden Hells tops the list, failing that I'm perfectly happy with a Heineken. I'm not really a lager snob (although of course I'd never go near Fosters, Carling or Carlsberg)

Innis and Gunn lager is my favourite. It has been brewed with oats as well asthe usual barley, hops and yeast for a better flavour. Its a bit smoother to me

Freedom make some nice stuff.
Camden Hells also good.
I do also like Molson Canadian, more for the memories than the taste!

Really good alternative to Hop House. Also if memory serves me right £2.49 for a 4 pack.

Or if I'm having a curry, Bangla or Cobra.
