Restaurant Meal Kits worth trying
Discussion
The boys on the Sorted youtube channel (I've no affiliation, just admiration) have been going through a few restaurant meal kits during lockdown and I've just ordered another, this time from Dishoom.
The Dishoom Bacon Naan Roll Kit - £16 + delivery
https://www.dishoom.com/order-online/
Ordered for delivery next Friday to be cooked and eaten for Saturday breakfast
Also, very good were the Shoryu Tonkotsu kit https://www.shoryuramen.com/diykits
and the Patty and Bun burger kits https://shop.pattyandbun.co.uk/
If you've some basic kitchen skills then these are a great way of getting restaurant quality food at home. I'm also very tempted by the Korean chicken burger and Steak tacos on the last video but one thing at a time.
If you've done any like these recently, post them up.

Nothing to contribute - but thanks for posting this. I've just watched part 5 of their meal kits review, and will definitely be watching more.
I've already booked lunch out in London on 3rd December, so unless London ends up in Tier 3 (fingers crossed), I'll need to wait until lockdown 3 before trying any meal kits.

The Dishoom one confused me. A bacon roll in India? That's like having a veggie philly cheesesteak.
(Don't get me wrong, I love Dishoom, got their book, their vada pav is exceptionally close to the real thing, God I sound pretentious, but the thought of bacon in Indian food makes my teeth itch)

I got one of these and built it up for the wife's birthday present: https://www.byoah.com
They were reviewed by the sorted boys too. Really worth the money.

The Dishoom bacon naan kit arraived yesterday and we had a fine breakfast this morning.
Easy to make and tasty enough (I'd add some extra pepper sauce to spice it up a bit) but the chai was the star. A little more ginger and it'd be just like we had in India. Enough for two bacon butties, four mugs of chai and a spare naan.

Incredible that they've extracted £16+ postage out of you for that and you've had to cook it yourself using your own utilities.... Shiiiiit
And I don't feel hard done by, go figure. The bottom photo shows one cut in half. If I went with Mrs T to Dishoom to go have these there, it'd cost a lot more with transport added in and it wouldn't have been as fun. If you don't like cooking, the kits are not for you.
As far as value for money goes, the Patty and Bun kits give you something more substantial or there's always a Rustler's microwave burger if you're close to a pound.
