Hi, looking to cook some mussels and make a stew (separately) on my Weber BBQ and wondering if anybody has any recommendations for a Dutch oven. Weber have the one below on their site and I’ve a £20 voucher for them as well. It wondering if there’s anything else worth looking at.

https://www.weber.com/GB/en/accessories/cooking/go...

Thanks

For cooking stews on the BBQ (or fire pit) I bought one off eBay, no doubt a fraction of the price of a Weber one. Make sure it has a lid with a lip so you can add heat from above with lumpwood/wood etc.

For most cooking in a pan situations on my Weber though I use a steel paella pan that has a lid. It gets a lot of use and served me well. As with cast, the steel needs a little looking after.

A 30cm cast skillet with a cast lid would cover a lot of bases.

Buy some half decent size mussels and chuck them straight onto the bars -grill over the charcoal, as soon as they start to open start eating them off the grill , best mussels you'll taste .

If youre going to cook stew get yourself a Potjie pot. Used extensively in south africa and gives its name to the stew produced. You can buy them from amazon
