Left over Christmas dinner is pretty good.

A bacon and egg sandwich, but not sure that's what you were thinking of.

In which case, ham and chicken, with cheese, grilled. Then jalapeños, tomato, bit of lettuce and a sauce of some kind.

depends on the mood:

basic sliced white bread, grated cheddar, salt n vinegar crisps and salad cream

Used to love that when I came home from school 35 years ago.

Usually a cheese salad roll for lunch if working and buying from the bakers

Definitely Bacon and egg, dipped( where you fry the inside of the bread in the oil rather than buttering)
If yo're on about the lesser subsection of cold sandwiches another poster suggests you might be
White Bread ( preferably cheap and thick cut) buttered and Corned Beef.
But at this time of year, any Christmas related sandwich.
Even the sausage and bacon one with a bit of cranberry thrown on.

Sourdough bread
Finely chopped carrot and spring onions with generous amounts of well chopped fresh mint and coriander.
Mayo with chilli jam and fresh lime juice.
Mix all that together and add to one slice of bread. Now place fresh prawns on top and add the top slice of bread.
Vietnamese prawn.

Left overs from a roast.

Roast chicken... chestnut stuffing... thinly sliced roast potato... thin layer of gelatinous cold gravy. Maybe a little mayo for food measure.

Ham cheese and my mum's home made pickle will always take some beating.

As above, I love 'leftovers' sandwiches. A secret pleasure as my wife looks down on me like I should be on the council thread.
  • Bolognaise in a toast sandwich
  • Chicken and stuffing and gravy
  • Sausage mashed potato onion gravy and red sauce in a wrap.

Some leftover chicken (finely chopped), loads of mayo and a healthy spoonful of Madras curry powder, all squeezed in between two slices of white.

A dirty pleasure.

Reminds me of the beef dip stotty I had in Gateshead out of a van on the industrial estate.

Stottie ( about the size of your head but only an inch and a half deep) Roast Beef Slices, onions and Gravy.

Absolutely impossible to eat without a knife fork and plate. but delicious
