Christmas delivery fail

Ordered two hampers of chocolate treats from hotel chocolat, unfortunately they have not been as yet delivered .
Ordered on 24/11/2020 by internet direct to them on their website.
They stated delivery in 3 to 7 days.
After 8 days I emailed to advise non delivery.
I have now been advised on 9/12/2020 that they will get back to me within 5 days.

Has anybody else ordered from them having problems?

We appear to be in the middle of a global pandemic and the busiest postal period in history, my 3 day parcels are taking up to 3 weeks.

Thanks, this particular delivery is the only problematic one that I am experiencing. All of the other deliveries have been on time, hence my post.
Have you had the same problem with Hotel chocolat that I am experiencing or is it a general comment you have made.

Across a number of Hotel Chocolat orders this Christmas, most have been delivered, but not all yet - I expect they are just busy...

I’ve done OK so far. Most things arrived on time, although I started fairly early.

I have a few small things still to arrive, but have told everyone if things don’t arrive in time, they’ll get to open them later on. Bonus.

I do hope that’s all it is, if it’s gone missing I’m going to have to ring the bell and scramble for replacements.

I ordered two cheese chuckle hampers last week in the expectation they might have a delay on delivery. Needless to say the package arrived within a few days I’ve a fridge full of cheese now

just had notification for each of the remaining deliveries, so I suspect that it is just delays...
