Its tradition for us to go for a curry on Christmas eve, this year will be a take away being in Tier 4. Who else has a curry on Christmas eve?

Always a big fish dinner on Xmas eve, but that's because my family has roots in Central Europe. I'm doing a scallop and crab starter followed by a whole side of salmon.

Not on Christmas Eve, but had a good one during the evening of Boxing Day a couple of years ago..!

Prawn on Puree then Chicken Tikka Dansak, Mushroom Rice and Bombay Aloo.. 2 perfect courses..!

I am tempted as I was thinking this earlier today. As my preferred takeaway is run by Muslims, I will go for Xmas Day instead if it's open otherwise tomorrow night.

Edit: just called and it's closed Xmas Day so tomorrow is looking likely.

Cultural appropriation of the very worst kind.

Every year I have a Christmas Eve curry and have done for 20 years. So it will be a takeaway Chicken Tikka Bhuna at mine.

Oysters & steak tonight

Mussels tomorrow

Just need to find someone to brave the shop for crusty bread as we are self isolating. Got no shallots for the oysters nor celery/bread for the mussels but we soldier on.

Usually there is 6-10 of us Christmas Eve so I do something like a curry or a chili or tacos something serve yourself and social. Won't be happening this year which is a shame.

Just something from the freezer for me,as CBA any more cooking. Same for the kids.
Last few years we've had curry on Xmas day, takeaway, rather than turkey. Not this year alas

I'd have one on Xmas day given a choice.

When it was still an option I saw an Indian restaurant advertising a Christmas Day menu, we considered booking as a change to the norm but Tier rules put paid to that.

We tend to alternate between a Chinese and Curry.

Having pizza this year.

I've done that with mates in years past. Beers from lunchtime, then a curry on the way home.
Tonight it'll be gnocchi and home made arrabiatta sauce.
No pubbage permitted here as the whole coountry is treated as Tier 3, but changing to the equivalent of Tier 4 from 26th. frown

Phaal or Vindaloo later, but I'm working a night shift so 1900 is breakfast.
