If anyone knows the Isle of Rum the you'll know how small the population of the Island is, somewhere in the region of 30 people. Myself and Mrs XR5 visited there last year and found that the Island had just started distilling it's very own Rum, Askival. The Rum is named after the highest peak on the Island and their very first batch very recently went on sale.
Feeling an attachment to the Island I managed to get my hands on a first batch bottle before they all sold out. So, to anyone who knows the subject better than me, is a first batch bottle something to hold on to and watch it increase in value? Or should I just pop the cork and enjoy it the traditional way?
Thoughts?

Not sure I'm being helpful here but, is the usual advice not to buy two? One to drink and one as an "investment"...... which you can always drink if values don't soar as hoped for.
Thanks. On that advice we've bought another and managed to get one of the final bottles from the first batch. One to drink, one to hopefully pay for itself 😁
