Marmalade is basically just orange jam right?

So... why is bread and jam seen as relatively normal, but bread and marmalade seems like some sort of filthy pervert's supper?

(For the record, I do not eat bread and marmalade, but I heard mention of someone who does and instantly branded them a pervert).

Piping hot toast with melted butter and orange marmalade cloud9

Marmalade is more citrus than jam, so I think it needs a bit of heat and caramelisation(?) of the bread (toasted) to bring out the best of it.

PS: Not sure how you made the leap from maramalade to pervert rofl

Marmalade -> sandwich -> Paddington -> duffle-coat -> pervert. The last link is possibly tenuous, and even litigious.
