I got a bit bored having to go to the kitchen every time I wanted some cheap Asda wine from my wine box so I have adapted my desk's top right drawer.

There are three slots for boxes, two where they stay level and then the third slot, as demonstrated in the second image is the "dregs zone". It tips the box forwards to allow the last half glass to be more easily dispensed.

When the dregs slot isn't in use it serves as a useful elbow rest. To stop the drawer tipping there are wedges on either side.

The loss of drawer space is not a problem, though the sadly lacking selection of wine boxes in Asda does irritate me.

Today's "Boîte du Jour" is the Merlot, which is just a 4/10. The Shiraz is a 5/10.

Above - Two standard slots occupied by an Asda Merlot (2.25L - medium bodied - 13%) and a Shiraz (2.25L - full bodied - 13%). Both cost £12.50/box

Above - The Merlot occupying the "dregs slot".

Eagle eyed observers (pun intended) will spot the Apollo 15 and Apollo 17 mission patch coasters.

Nice work OP.

Quick story from my childhood.

I was maybe 4 or 5, it was Christmas. Mum getting my sister and I ready to go to church. Something wasnt quite right with me as I struggled to dress and maintain balance.

The next time I left the room, mum followed and watched. I had been placing my mouth below the tap of the wine box in the fridge and taking sips all morning.

They couldn't take me to church on account of me being drunk..... at 4 and a half (ish).

Well the Merlot is for a glass around 4pm, then the Shiraz to enjoy whilst I practice piano. I like little and often, maybe just pouring 50ml at a time.

Once opened a box lasts at least four weeks, I drink about 1/2 a bottle per day or 1/6th of a box.

When all is said and done though, the drawer conversion to extend where my arm goes when using the mouse is very comfortable. (No porn comments please, this isn't General Gassing).

Glass??? With this arrangement surely what the OP needs is a non-return valve and a length of plastic pipe to give an arrangement akin to a Camelbak...

I have considered this. I'd want a tube and one of those stands they use in hospital. I would have the box hanging from the stand feeding the tube going to my arm, take a photo, and call it "Intravenous de Merlot".

If you fitted the wine bladder into the seat of the chair one's own weight would supply positive pressure to the system meaning you wouldn't even need to suck.

Well what do you expect at that price - any recommendations for a "Boîte par excellence" anyone?
