Bean to cup machine with limited space
Discussion
Hi all
With the realisation that I've spent £700 on Nespresso capsules in the last year, and my Nespresso machine packing in, it's time to think about going for a bean to cup.
Budget is relatively flexible (within reason) of say up to £1k for the right machine (I'll see an ROI in 24 months probably the way it's going
), but we're limited in that we only have 395mm of headroom for the machine, so need a machine which isn't too tall.
Ideally it'd have a milk wand as opposed to a milk container / hose. Whilst the latter are easier to use, realistically this machine will be used to knock out espresso or black americano most of the time, with my wife occasionally using it for milk based drinks.
Any suggestions? I was going to go for a Sage Barista Express until I saw the height of it was 40cm. I like Jura machines (worked for a Swiss company in the past) but the E6 has a dodgy looking tube for milk. Not great.
Cheers!

Thanks. I'm lazy and I was hoping to avoid reading 60 pages, but will take a read!We have a Melitta Avanza F270-100 bought on the basis of Which reviews.
Height is 35cm but I've just checked and the water reservoir lid opens to 43cm. You don't need to lift it all the way up but it may be problematic.
The machine itself is brilliant, I drink espresso or black coffee. It draws milk from a jug as per your requirements.
Currently getting through 2-3 250g bags of beans per week and wouldn't go for anything else.

Thanks! 43cm for the water res is doable as I can move the machine forward to top it up.Height is 35cm but I've just checked and the water reservoir lid opens to 43cm. You don't need to lift it all the way up but it may be problematic.
