Are there any supply problems getting beer to pubs, my local is running dry and tells people there’s a strike in the supply chain.
I’ve not seen this in the news anywhere, I’d there a problem?
(Apart maybe from them not paying their bills on time).

Yes.
Lots of supply problems, lots of reasons.
Apparently apple juice is like nectar at the moment.
Not heard of any strikes, sounds like bullst after someone has cocked up the ordering.

I've not experienced any shortages in my local pubs, but apparently many boozers will start running out later this week... Just in time for the bank holiday!

Apparently over 1000 Draymen have gone on strike over pay, and they are currently responsible for over 40% of the total beer supply to UK pubs.

From what I've just quickly read, the intended strikes have been called off as they have provisionally accepted a whopping 4% pay rise, so they shouldn't have affected anything.

I'll drink wine or whisky or vodka. Whatever it takes to survive.

Greene king are saying supply issues will be with us for a few months yet.

Its a covid and brexit cluster fk of a problem.
The eu lorry drivers went home because of covid and now cant get back because of brexit.

Its a problem that been waiting to happen for a few years. After the supply chain was outsourced in the northern half of the uk the supply has been slow at best most of the time.

My pub is leased from and tied to Greene King, who have their own drivers.
No Blue Moon for the last couple of weeks and we waited months for Meantime after reopening and we're not getting any of that this week.
There's other stuff I can't remember also.
Plenty of ale, and my staple Guinness.

Went to the pub last Thurs near my old office in Farringdon and the lady started with "let me start by telling you what beers ARE on", and then also said there's a strike.

Just had the last pint of Guinness in my local, moved onto Aspalls and black!
His ales are untypically from the brewery round the corner, will find out if that's choice or necessity.

I’m alright, brewery and tap room in the garage.

Still a little work to do mind.

Draymen.

Do such jobs even exist nowadays?

Or is it all delivered by Kuehne & Nagel Polskie Kurwy?

Mr K&N polskie still need a job title whilst he drops the kegs into the cellar. Draymen will do quite alot for a pint of squash or a coffee.

Mr K&N Polskie fecked off home after Brexit , now the British drivers or lack of have a chance to earn decent wages without all the rate slashing . Usually have a steady supply of Guinness , only interrupted when Montreal dock workers strike , which has be known to happen on a whim .
