The big Tesco in the town where I work had no granulated sugar - either in the 1kg bags or 2kg bags on Monday morning when I nipped in. They still didn't half way through the week when I popped in again. Morrisons didn't have any 2kg bags yesterday either. There is obviously a sugar supply issue somewhere.
Stop buying s
t meat from Supermarkets and use a good butcher for a start.
The Fizzy water issue is 2 fold as IM led to believe.
Firstly there is an alleged shortage of raw plastic for the bottles, and alos one of the biggest C02 producers had a big fire and are out of production currently.
As for the rest, it just shows how little genuine actual thought went into Brexit other than pure bulls
t spin.

t spin.I think it will sort it's self out fairly soon. Wages are rising for lorry drivers whish must be tempting existing drivers back behind the wheel. Also the testing centres are doing tests for aspiring truck drivers as fast as they can.
Long term I think it's a good thing to raise the wages for truckers which were too low.
Also, and this is a guess, it might get some freight off the road and onto the railway or even inland waterways, which is a good thing.

He expects Boris to wave a magic wand and globally remove (as opposed to just cure) Covid, magically double the number of ports and and staff in them and then allow the global shipping industry to start working, rather that desperately try to deal with very expensive queues as ports do not have the staff (due to covid) to work at normal capacity with the result an ever increasing number of ships are queuing up to unload. Actually the last sentence is not quite true and the number of ships sailing has been reduced to help alleviate this but instead that means container queues are building up at source and way point counties.

This could work, our local Morrisons has a canal within walking distance. Long term I think it's a good thing to raise the wages for truckers which were too low.

I wonder if they've even bothered to ask CRT to drop off roll cages of produce. They could bring the stuff up the Avon from Evesham, or out of season from the fruit and veg market in Brum.

Golden Virginia Tobacco was the only thing I couldn't get but only in 30g pouches for some reason. 50g, no problem. BJ won't be bothered about hand rolling tobacco. Don't suppose his mates would be happy if it was cigars though i get two deliveries a week - Waitrose and Tesco

Apologies for the Daily Mail link...

well, farmer friends are describing conditions as in the old Soviet Union - food rotting in the ground because they cannot get people to harvest said food
some took issue with my 'Boris sort it out comment'
well allow EU drivers and food workers access to the UK market rather than telling UK companies to employ UK workers
you cannot make UK people learn to drive an HGV or work in the fields - so labour must be outsourced
its pure business sense/economics
when we were still in the EU i knew in Eastern European 'gang master' - fully legal
he organised food harvesting teams mainly in Lincolnshire - he stopped employing UK workers as too often at Monday morning pick up they did not turn up after weekend boozing binges (their words)
my ex next door neighbours love interest tried working in the rural economy and packed in because she hated getting wet/cold and it damaged her nails!

t spin.its a postcode lottery
just updating my two orders this week and now Walkers Crips are not in stock or very limited supplies
as to my detractors, when Nando's/MacDonald's have problems it says something about the problem?
and i am most certainly not a 'Remainer' but i do have realistic expectations of food being on shop shelves
again - if UK people will not train to drive HGV's or pick crops then we have to use imported labour
