Frozen Dim Sum delivered
Discussion
I've had a fair few frozen dimsum, and honestly I didnt find a huge difference between them.
If possible though I'd try just finding your nearest asian supermarket and stock up. I went to buy a few things and saw a few people buying out one section, so grabbed some too and they were great.
Apart from the steamed ones there's some that you boil which are nice and easy too, and gyoza which you also cook straight from frozen.
Just make sure that you have some decent chilli oil.

I keep getting these up on FB; never tried them

Hi All,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a website that you can buy frozen Dim Sum and have it delivered ?
I'm thinking with a freezer full to dip into it would make for a really quick easy evening meal ?
Any Ideas ?
Thanks.
I usually use Wing Yip but they are updating their site at the minute. I’ve not ordered from this one but have shopped with them many times in store so might be worth trying Does anyone have any recommendations for a website that you can buy frozen Dim Sum and have it delivered ?

I'm another who mainly gets his from the Wing Yip, though I have bought from other Chinese/Oriental supermarkets - never ordered though.
Take it there's no where near by for a trip out ? - some of them have their own restaurants (Staples Corner Wing Yip get there before midday if going to the Wan Tai restaurant on a Sunday - my present main yum chai spot)

We usually buy Way-On pork (har gow) and prawn (siu mai) dumplings in London Chinatown supermarkets (New Loon Moon, Lung Fung or SeeWoo).

A friend of mine ordered from here and was really impressed. He’s an ex chef and big dim sum fan so I trust his opinion!

If going via Hanger Lane on the North Circular arund London, I often stock up at Hoo HIng for frozen dumplings, char siu bao and lotus seed buns. I note they deliver but not for perishables or frozen food though - sorry! They've a place in Milton Keynes if that's any use....

So not one to leave a thread without a conclusion, I ordered from the above website.https://www.reachmykitchen.com/collections/dim-sum...
Thanks to all that replied, I went with this one as it seemed easy and looked good.
Arrived well packaged and easy to cook. Bought some dipping sauce from trusty Amazon (other online retailers are available) and to be honest I was impressed.
Made for a lovely meal, cooked for the whole family and the kids enjoyed it too.

Nice work, you've made me very hungry! Not sure your Har Gow came out too well though - how did you cook them? I've got three bamboo steamer baskets I stack up over a pan of boiling water and serve up in (lined with parchment paper) so they usually stay in one piece that way!
I was hoping I would get away with it but well spotted.
The mistake was that they weren’t cooked from frozen, they were put in the fridge instead of the freezer and had defrosted when I came to cook them the next day.
Tasted lovely but you are right they should have held together better.

BTW, instead of parchment paper, you can buy metal base plate (see below) that sits inside the steamer at any decent Chinese supernarket. Just smear a small drop of vegetable oil to prevent any dim sum sticking to the metal plate. Then chuck the base plate in the dishwasher for cleaning.

Nice idea - will have a look out for a few of them.
