Has anyone used this?

The way it's worded it seems you get 100% credit back (capped at £200) each time you dine at one of the eligible restaurants, which is a loooong list in London.

Seems too good to be true.

Have I misread it and it's £200 total credit?

yeah its £200 total.

Why would you think you've misread it? They've done similar with deliveroo credit a couple of times recently. They're trying to maintain members on what is a travel based card in years where not much travel is going on.

Because one way of reading it (or at least that's how I read it initially), is that you get up to £200 back every time!

I obviously then realised that sounded a bit too good to be true!

I called Amex to ask, and they said £200 per year. That could be across multiple transactions or all in one go, but up to a cap of £200 p.a.

Thanks.
The Amex app does not feature the crucial "cumulative" word!

It isn't per year - it is cumulative spend between last week and the end of this year.
Whether it returns next year, who knows? The waitrose/harvey nichols/selfridges one hasn't.

Oh, and it is also stackable if any of the places you are going have separate amex offers for money off.
