I was away camping with scouts this weekend gone
Friday night was burgers and chopped veg. Veg was seasoned, olive oil added, portioned up and wrapped in foil and cooked on camp fire. Burgers not so nice. Veg quite nice
Breakfast both days was porridge. Nice
Saturday lunch was sandwiches. Sunday lunch halloumi burgers and sweet potato. We sliced the sweet potato into cm slices, bit of butter, garlic powder, wrapped in foil and cooked on fire. They came out awesome
Saturday night was chicken biryani. Nice but too much mission to make
Any suggestions for healthy foods to cook on camping trips that are relatively easy and reasonably cheap to prepare. Party size 20-30

Never tried in batches that size, but a couple of my camping staples:
Breakfast: Fry chorizo until it lets out some oil, fry egg in the oil, shove it a roll. Saves having to carry oil for frying.
Dinner: Fry chorizo until it lets out some oil, fry mushrooms/onions/pepper/etc in the oil, add couscous and water, leave to absorb water, stir, eat.
Chilli's generally an easy one to make in bulk but not sure I'd fancy trying to cook rice for that many people, so maybe bolognaise and pasta would work better.

Veggie tomato ragu with pasta all you need is tinned toms, passata, veg, couple of sprigs of thyme, seasoning and 2 pans one for the pasta. Make your own flat breads to cook on a rock or frying pan rub with olive oil and garlic. You can use the same sauce to do meatballs for a slightly less healthy version.

Why does the food have to be healthy?
Because thats what he asked for
Not neccesarily healthy as such but a great start to the day. Fry some cubed chorizo and panchetta, add some diced onions, then some chopped tinned potatoes. when potatoes are starting to go golden and crisp add some chopped mushrooms (tinned are ok), then add tinned chopped tomatoes and baked beans (the mixed baked beans are good) once simmering crack in some eggs and serve when they are cooked to your liking. You can add and take away ingredients for a bit of a variation

Thanks for the tips
Healthy because children are forming lifelong eating habits and I'd like them to take up healthy eating long term. I'll leave treat days to their parents to manage.
They had dessert both nights but it was (relatively) healthy. Nothing processed. Apply crumble made with oats instead of flour and a wholemeal spelt flour banana and date bread the next night.

Sweet potatoes. Double wrap in foil. Chuck on embers. Wait 30-45mins maybe 1hr if big . Done. Tasty as a tasty thing.
This was exactly what we did. As you say, tasty as.
