Surely a missed opportunity.

One jam tart, a battenberg, vienese whirl, county slice, apple pie and a french fancy.

Would be a winner?

Cut out the jam tart, the viennese slice and the country slice and I'd agree with you

Not sure to be honest. I think most people (me included) have very specific taste in cakes and one of more of the selection pack would be off limits.

When I was about 7, my mum had just finished icing the Christmas cake and my sister and I scoffed a prodigious amount of leftover marzipan. Half an hour later we both yacked up the whole lot. I've never like marzipan since so the Battenburg would be out I'm afraid.
