Kazbah will cover dinner, cocktails, and so forth.

Freud also good for cocktails but queues at the bar get big at busy times.

Rooftop bar of Malmaison also good for drinks/views if open, but it always used to be hit and miss whether it was so wouldn't rely on it.

Pompette, very good, but in Summertown, so not central

I went there for a dinner recently and thought it was a rip-off for food that was just 'okay', though locals seem to rave about it?!

Not been for a few years but was always excellent. My old second date restaurant of choice laugh

The tapas next door (Al Andalus) always used to be very good too, although it’s been a good 3 or 4 years since I’ve been.

Oxford Wine Cafe at the end of Little Clarendon Street is nice for drinks.

Oil’s Thai has closed, sadly frown

Arbequina (connected in some way) is bloody amazing, and worth any wait it takes to get in.

How did it go? Resurrecting this thread: we went to Number 1 Ship Street on Saturday, and it was absolutely flawless and fantastic if you need another

We ate in the Old Parsonage one night, which was superb, both food and service. Then at No.1 Ship Street which was also very good, probably not quite as good as Old Parsonage.

Interesting cocktails at Alchemist. We stayed at Malmaison but no sign of the rooftop bar being open (and the basement bar was pretty mediocre).
