Hi staying close to here for a few days and see they have a lunch slot available seems it's 120 per head + 95 per head for drinks
Is it worth it? Haven't eaten at a starred restaurant for some time but 430 for lunch despite it been 15-18 courses does seem quite rich!

But it does seem fortuitous that they have one spot remaining when we are there

Yes I know it's totally excessive any way you look at it!

It's a significant amount of cash but I do like nice food.

I’d quite happily spend that if I knew the quality was there - but, looking at the interior of the restaurant I can’t help but think it looks like a slightly upmarket cafe. Perhaps I’m being a bit harsh, but it doesn’t ‘look’ much. Food looks great though.

The area around Hexham is fabulous and I hope you enjoy your few days.

On a very much cheaper note, Bouchon in Hexham is lovely!

If you decide on Hjem, I'd be very interested in hearing how it was.

I suppose a plus point of it lookig like a cafe is it doesn't have a dress code! Actually just noticed it's the same price as our last one at the three chimneys on Skye
