Tesco Fire Pit Pizza Oven

Just bought one of these today and now notice the instructions say do not use wood or logs , only use charcoal, a small amount of wood chips can be used.

It looks just like a previous Pizza Oven I had which used wood.

Why is this do you think? Surely using wood should be ok.

Wood burns hotter than charcoal doesn’t it? Maybe it can’t cope with the extra heat
